The Fang Performance shaker hood is designed to accept our optional classic twist locks.
The twist locks can be of the functional style. These must be turned a ΒΌ turn to the unlock position before pulling the hood release to open the hood.

How the Fang Shakers work
The Fang Shaker utilizes a cast aluminum Ford scoop mated to our custom engine shroud that is designed to duct air into the hood. From there, air is channeled to the air cleaner.
The shaker is surrounded by a rubber seal. When the hood is closed against the rubber seal, all outside elements are sealed out of the engine compartment. Any water that may gather will escape via drain tubes located on either side of the shaker shroud.

The square hole on the drivers side of the hood seals against our propietary air ram box which mounts to the factory air cleaner assembly to force cold air where it is needed!

Ram Air Box
The Ram air box is complete and is ready to be shipped. It is designed to work with all of our hoods and make our shaker system functional with the factory air box with out any worries of voiding the factory warranties.

Shaker Hood - Bolt on Scoop
For those who prefer a different look can opt for our bolt on style scoop. Reminescent of the 69-70 Mustang scoop, it is fully functional and can be used on V6 or GTcar.

Shaker Hood - Bolt on Scoop
This scoop utilizes an underhood mounting plate that forces cold air into the hood. Air is the ducted through the hood to our ram air box. A drain has been placed to keep water out of the system.
